25th Engineering forum in UAE

The Omani Society of Engineers participated in the 25th Gulf Engineering Forum held in Dubai on February 7 and 8, 2024. The society's delegation was led by Engineer Fouad Al-Kindi, Chairman of the Board, and included several Board members: Engineer Abdullah Al-Busaidi, Engineer Hamid Al-Rawahi, Engineer Mohamed Al-Riyami, Engineer Ahmed Al-Mazrouei, Engineer Salem Al-Ruqishi, Engineer Hussein Al-Salmi. The delegation also included the society's partners: Engineer Mohamed Al-Mahmoudi from the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, Major Engineer Khamees Al-Shuhi from the Royal Oman Police, Engineer Yaqub Al-Hindasi from Sohar Municipality, Architect Azzan Al-Kindi from Ibn Khaldoun Office and Al-Madinah, Engineer Anwar Al-Hinai from Muscat Municipality, and Engineer Nargis Al-Ajmi from the Oil and Gas Sector. The forum's theme was "Smart Engineering for a Sustainable Tomorrow," focusing on four main areas: 1. Infrastructure and Building Systems 2. Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnologies 3. Smart Systems and Robotics 4. Cybersecurity in Engineering Systems The forum featured a range of activities, including presentations, panel discussions, and field visits. During the event, the Supreme Council of the Gulf Engineering Union held its regular session, where attendees discussed various topics related to the Union's projects and activities, including the upcoming 26th Gulf Engineering Forum scheduled to be held in Bahrain in 2025.
