The Engineering Sector Skills Unit aims to achieve sustainable progress in engineering skills development by offering high-quality, advanced training programs and developing professional standards that reflect the latest advancements in engineering. The unit also seeks to monitor and analyse labour market needs in engineering and contribute to closing skill gaps.

Develop Skills and Competencies:

    Identify and develop key skills required in the engineering sector.

    Design national professional standards packages to enhance sector performance.

Enhance Communication with the Labour Market:

       Conduct studies and surveys to analyse market needs.

       Publish periodic reports on labour market developments in the engineering sector.

Promote Innovation & Development

       Develop frameworks for vocational and technical training to support innovation and development.

Improve Workforce Quality

       Raise skill levels.

       Provide an advanced and motivating learning environment to develop the workforce.

Strengthen Communication between the Sector & Educational Institutions

       Develop training programs aligned with modern engineering requirements.

        Develop short and long-term training programs to meet industry needs.

 

        Approve training programs after thorough review according to national standards.

Develop Quality Standards

       Establish frameworks to ensure the quality of training and qualification programs.

 

       Update and develop quality assurance strategies to align with advancements in engineering.
