The Oman Society of Engineers is the primary professional reference for the engineering sector in the Sultanate of Oman. It plays a pivotal role in empowering engineers and elevating the engineering profession by strengthening professional standards and adopting global best practices in continuous professional development, in line with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
The Society has established a strong presence through organizing national and Arab engineering conferences and forums, implementing the Professional Accreditation System in partnership with the Ministry of Labour, delivering regionally and internationally recognized professional development programs, and building strategic partnerships with Arab and international engineering bodies and organizations. It also supports innovation and sustainability initiatives that align with national development priorities.
The Society operates within an integrated system of initiatives and programs that serve engineers and the community, keeping pace with technological and knowledge advancements across various engineering fields. It continues its journey in leading national engineering efforts and strengthening their role in achieving sustainable development.
Engineering Across Generations
Omani Women Engineers' Forum
The Omani Society of Engineers continues its efforts to support and empower national talents across all engineering fields, highlighting the role of Omani women in advancing science and technology. Building on this commitment, the Omani Women Engineers Forum, under the theme “Engineering Across Generations,” celebrates the position of women engineers and their pioneering role in development and innovation. The forum serves as a platform that brings together diverse engineering experiences and generations to exchange insights, showcase women’s achievements in technical and engineering fields, and highlight their contributions to Oman Vision 2040 through sustainability, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence. It also provides an opportunity to foster collaboration toward a sustainable engineering future, encouraging continuous development and innovative solutions that contribute to building a more advanced and prosperous society.
Partnership Towards Sustainable Integration
Salalah Engineering Forum 4th Edition
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, the Oman Society of Engineers hosted the 4th Salalah Engineering Forum on 31 August – 1 September 2025, held during the tropical Khareef season in Salalah. The forum, themed “Engineering and Logistics: A Partnership Towards Sustainable Integration” and aligned with Oman Vision 2040, highlighted the vital role of engineering in building an integrated, resilient, and future-ready logistics ecosystem.
As the Nation is pursuing its goal to become a global logistics hub, the forum provided a national platform to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and promote innovation. Government entities, academia, private sector leaders, and aspiring engineers participated as speakers, sponsors, and attendees, contributing to a smarter, more sustainable Oman.
Engineering solutions for a Net-Zero future
Energy Transition Engineer 2025
In collaboration with the Energy Institute (EI), the Oman Society of Engineers (OSE) hosted the Energy Transition Engineering Event at the Oman Petroleum & Energy Show (OPES 2025), took place from 12–14 May 2025, focusing on engineering solutions to achieve Net-Zero by 2050.
Since 2001, OSE has been committed to advancing engineering excellence, professional development, and sustainability in line with Oman Vision 2040.This event was featured masterclasses, roundtables, and networking opportunities, bringing together engineers from all fields to explore innovative solutions that drive the energy transition.

Annual Founders Event 2024
On December 8, 2024, Annual Founders Event 2024, a night dedicated to celebrating the visionaries behind the Oman Society of Engineers.
This event was more than just a gathering; it was a tribute to the golden era of our Board of Directors—founders whose leadership and foresight have shaped the engineering landscape in Oman. In honor of the Board of Directors, the team at OSE curated a “Golden Era” theme—symbolizing wisdom, innovation, and a legacy of engineering excellence. The visual identity was built around rich gold hues, timeless design elements, and a sophisticated ambiance that resonated with the history and achievements of our esteemed founders.

Tamayouz Excellence Award

Tamayouz Excellence Award and the Oman Society of Engineers invite you to the Tamayouz Talks Series – Muscat Edition.
A multi-day public talks programme that brought together the many architects, academics, judges, students and finalists of the Tamayouz award programme with the general public.
The speakers present their works, topics of interest and research and will engage with one another about the fields in which they work, shedding light on challenges, strategies and successes. Tamayouz Talks ran for three days and be held in various prestigious venues across Muscat, concluded with Nizwa Tour on 19th January 2023.






FROM THE 2022 ARCHIVES
First OSE Forum in Dhofar 2-3 October 2022.
Inline with its vision to improve the communication with the engineers in Dhofar, Oman Society of Engineers has held its first forum in cooperation with Dhofar Municipality. The forum discussed the challenges facing the engineers in Dhofar and their vision to improve the engineering profession. The forum was held on at Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah.
